ABOUT
Joshua Attrill is a clarinettist, saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator based in Cardiff. He studied music at Cardiff University and was awarded the Elizabeth Griffiths Prize for Orchestral performance, in particular recognising his orchestral and solo performances. He went on to study for a Masters in Music Composition at Cardiff where he achieved a Distinction. Currently Josh performs music of all genres, he regularly performs recitals, plays with function bands including Rock the Mike, jazz bands and orchestras.

Josh teaches students of all ages and his current music students range from the age of 9 right up to 65. Whether you would like to work towards sitting Grades or professional qualifications, or simply learn an instrument for fun, Josh will be happy to tailor lessons for your specific needs. He has experience of preparing students for Grade and Diploma exams and National qualifications including Music GCSE, A level and Scottish National Qualifications. Josh is passionate about sharing his musical knowledge with others and strives to inspire his students as his teachers have influenced him. Josh aims to make his lessons fun and productive and provide the help you need to achieve your potential in music.

Josh also composes and arranges music for ensembles of all sizes as well as solo instruments. His compositional style is influenced by Jazz and Minimalism.
